Brake and codes

Car came home smoking from front right wheel. Suspected stuck caliper, replaced caliper, front pads and rotors. Couldn't get pedal to stiffen up after bleeding, suspected master cylinder, replaced that. Foolishly read procedure that said to remove electrical boxes in front of master cylinder, (not necessary) STILL cant get rid of brake soft and going to floor. Also got C1101-016 code - suspected speed sensor got cooked, replaced, still have code, but now "open circuit in wiring" Now have the following codes C1140-8 "steering angle sensor is not initialized"(I had the battery disconnected to replace the master cylinder) the aforementioned C1101-016, C1401 mil on & current A7/3m1 (high pressure and return pump) C1000 N47-5 (ESP, SPS [PML] and BAS control unit) C1141 b34 (ESP brake pressure sensor) I suspect I should chase the speed sensor error first; any guidance with this collection of errors?

You have air in the system, so I can only assume that the bleeding procedure was not done correctly. Bleed the system again, and after that the brake pedal must be pumped 6-7 times to expand the pistons in all calipers.

For the Steering Angle code, you must re-sync it.

Whenever you disconnect the battery, different codes will be stored. Stop disconnecting the battery when it is not required.

Then clear all codes and see which ones return. And please do not post uni paragraphs as they are very hard to read..

Thanks for the reply - I followed that bleeding sequence (twice) using a power bleeder - will clear the codes and report back. Thanks for the .pdf - do you have a source for repair info?
