2004 ML350 Transmission jolt after a turn

I bought a 2004 ML350 in February. I really enjoy just about everything about this car, but I feel like I have to "nurse" it around a turn. When making a 90 degree left or right turn at an intersection I usually start out with a jolt once I straighten the vehicle and press the accelerator. I can avoid this if I am very gentle with the gas pedal after the turn. This is my first all-wheel drive and the weight of the M class is considerably more than my previous vehicle. Do they all do this or should I be have the mechs look at it?

I agree, doesn't sound too healthy.
