drivers window switch not working...help

Ok 1st problem with my awesome ML430....my drivers window does not want to roll up when I pull up on the window selector switch on the center arm console. How can I fix this ASAP. Can I replace this myself. I would assume that I will have to replace the entire window selection unit.....so what does that intale....can one remove the wood trim ? any tech. help will really help me out. Maybe someone knows if this a usual problem with the window switch.....thanks for your help...

You have to remove the center console lid. should be push pins or screws depending on your model, then you remove the storage bucket, either push pins or screws, then your wood grain has to be pulled up. Older models have metal clips, newer models have two clips in the front and two T20 screws at the rear. After you do this you can remove the window switch control unit. The new ones have six T10 screws that have to be removed, the older model you will have to look at because I dont remember how to remove them. Hope this helps. Autogunner.
