Gearbox Refused to go into 1st gear
Ok, so went out at lunch. When I got back into the car, I selected "D" and the car would only pull away in 2nd gear. As it happened I passed MB so pulled in. They said stop the car, turn off the engine and try again. So I did, and the problem was gone!!
Has anyone had this before? It seems a common thing judging by the speed of which the guy knew what to do!!

Its called limp mode, when it sences a problem with the drive train it will go into this sometimes to keep from damageing anything. When you turn it off it resets and your good to go. I know some BMW's do the same thing. Autogunner.
