Performance question on 2000 ML320.0-60

hi,

I suspect some performance problem with my ML. I measured the 0-60 many time and I got something between 11s and 12s. The method I used is quite basic: Push the stopwatch button when I accelerate and re-pushed it when I read 60 on the tachometer.
It should be around 9 seconds.

Have you ever try the same with your car and what are the result?

I would appreciate your result in order to have enough argument for the dealer. I send the car twice and they told me that everything is fine. I really doubt.

Thanks for your help.
Laurent.

A V-6 ML or even an ML430 is not a fast vehicle by any means. If your getting to 3000 RPM ok, but then feels like the engine is struggling and lagging to make it to redline, I suspect a mass airflow sensor. A 10 second or better 0-60 time is normal for an ML320.

'98s are a bit faster because of a few hundred pounds less weight. I've measured mine around 9.0.

but you gotta look at it this way, its a 3.2l V6, 215hp, pulling 5000lbs in AWD, so then think to yourself, its actually not bad. (i get 8-9 sec 0-60 :p)
