One of the techs calls me over to look at something. He is working on a 2000 ML320, for oil leaks! Not very common to have a 112 motor leak. Anyhoo he has the valve cover in his hand, and its packed with sludge. How can it leak oil if it doesn't have any in it??? Looks like he is on the 30K mile plan. The camshaft, rockers, timing chain, all but unrecognizable with all the thick black sludge packed around them. Simply disgusting. Mercedes can endure amazing amounts of stress, but its hard to say how much longer this one will go. Its only got 60K on it!
