270CDI four wheel drive problem?

Hello,

New to this forum, but long time viewer. I'm also an new owner of old 2004' w163 270CDi (eu version). All my life I'm driving mercedes, most of them were w211 the last one was 320CDI 4matic.
So, I'm feeling that my 4 wheel drive somehow does not work. I tested some offroad and almost get stuck in the forest. I positioned the truck where 2 wheels (diagonaly) were in air, guess what? -Only 1 rear wheel was spinning . Some how maneged out... Then it was not enough, I tryed with LOW range and multiple switching HIGH-LOW. Same result-only one damm rear wheel spining... After 10 minutes of rough testing of my 4 wheel drive 3 warning lights come on : ETS BAS ABS, as expected...

Got home and hook up the reader and found codes :
(to be clear before I left home I erased all, it has many faults but all related to battery replacment, undervoltage etc..)

C1122 - Rear left wheel speed sensor faulty signal
- Intermittent
C1112 - Front right wheel speed sensor faulty signal
- Intermittent
C1102 - Front left wheel speed sensor faulty signal
- Intermittent

I was like- whaat, seriously?? Codes are from exact positions of wheels that wasn't spining.

We lifted the truck and checked with turned ESP off and all 4 wheels are rotating. She is driving prety normal onroad, no dash lights, ABS working normal, I have no other fault codes except 2 glow plugs..

Has anybody an idea what is going on with my car?
Maybe defective ETS system or broken front differential?

Tnx in advance

BR
Alex

Found a guy with related problem: https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...ing-weird.html , do you think it is possible on mine? I've checked hoses, guess what? Rears have been also repaired with standard brake fittings, from previous owner.

Does any body have exact diagram which hose is L / R on ABS unit? I will check it on monday, just to be prepaired.

Then just delete the codes.

Problem solved!
Exactly the same problem on mine. Rear brake lines were switched L and R, also repaired multiple times with standard fittings from previous owner... We fitted new lines straight from ABS pump to the wheels, and viola. Tested- It is like tank now.

damn, bad mechanics
