I have a 2005 ml350, 115,000 miles good texas vehicle. I have a major cooling problem, hoping for help from forum members
I have replaced the following:
Radiator hoses, thermostat, water pump, fan, belt, coolant after boiling out system and adding new Zerex G5, nothing has helped. It will run for 15 to 40 miles and seem to be operating normal. yesterday I replaced the radiator and took it for a test drive today. A circle of 15 miles, running great with thermostat operating between 85 to 100C. Pulled into my driveway and the gauge started to peg. Turning on maximum heat slowed it to going to 120C. Both fans in front of radiator were running and coolant was boiling in the reservoir.

Is your auxiliary coolant pump functioning?
You mention fan - Has fan clutch ever been replaced?

yes fan clutch was replaced. How do I check the aux pimp? It is hot on incoming and outgoing hose at time of problem.
