The ML is beeping at my wife
My wife just called and said the ML is "beeping" at her at approximately 10 second intervals. None of the dash lights is indicating any problem. Any ideas what it could be?

Could be that she is driving around with the emergency/parking brake on. Ask her to release it with the release handle. Do not know anything else that beeps.

2002 Mercedes Benz ML320
is it like a beep and bird chirping sounds? my car got that when i bought it, now it makes longated beeping sounds early in the morning, always involves turning it on, let it run for 2 minutes, shut it off, start it back on, and wallah.... the dealership cant figure out anything worth crap, probably cause all their technitions except for 1 are ford guys that dont know anything about mercedes benz's... grrr

You could be having a trip computer going out. If it thinks the anti tow is on but it is not then you might get the beeping, another words its wire are crossed up and it is confused. This is a long shot though, I would check the parking brake first. Autogunner

Thanks for the help. Whatever it was, it went away. Problem with the trip computer? I installed a (new) trip computer myself about a month ago. It has worked perfectly since. Hmmmm. . .

I finally got to experience the "beeping" for myself. It's not "beeping" at all. The noise emanates from the driver's side air vent, and sounds like a high pitched suck, like maybe a pin hole in a vacuum line. Whatever it is, it's not electrical. Any ideas?
