Srs light help

Hello everyone. I have a 2004 ml500 that i recently picked up. It needs a few things here and there. Namely I have two codes: b1863-004 r12/1 driver etr ignition squib resistance high
B1865-004 r12/6 left rear etr ignition squib resistance high.

I have been reading and it seems like i could unplug and plug these components in and see if the code goes away. My question is what and where are these components on a w163 ml500?

Thank you in advance!

Delete the codes and then, check to see which ones return.

Those pictures were a great help. I think i have found my problem. I disconnected those connectors with no change. I than found the srs module and disconnected it. Upon closer inspection something had spilled on the module. It lives under the shifter mechanism looks like soda. Well the plug had tons of corrosion and a few of the pins were broken off. I than disassembled the module and the pins were corroded inside the board. Not all of them but a few. So I am going to order another module and report back if that fixes it.

Did you clear your codes or not?

If your unit was toast, it likely would be unable to communicate with your scanner. My srs module was dead and would give me a code saying "B1000 Control Unit is Defective" and "N2/7 Undervoltage"

The dealer wanted $900 plug programming for a new one, so I got one on ebay from a 2003 (mine is a 2004) that matched the part numbers. It worked great and only cost about $35.

I did clear the codes. When i went to remove the plug from the srs module it took out some pins with it. I than opened the module up and the pins leading to the board itself had corrosion. I tried cleaning them and they just started to disintegrate. I ordered one off eBay as well. Once i get it and install it i will report back.

Update

Hey guys just thought id repost the fix. I ordered a new module off of the bay and installed it. My initial codes disappeared but got a bunch of new ones. Well the tell take was a b1000 which stated the module was toast. I ordered a replacement module that the seller said came from a car that didn't not have air bag deployment. It fixed all the problems.

so in short if you have air bag lights look at the module and make sure nothing was spilled on it. I had to repin the connector since the corrosion was so bad but all is fixed.
