Hello, I have a problem with headlights of my ML 400 CDI 2001 year.The combination switch is changed with brand new one. When I turn on the low beam headlights both low and high beam lights turned on. I tried to change AAM module with two other AAM units, but the result is the same. I changed the unit with fuses and relays, where the AAM module is connected , also without results. I tried to move left and right the AMM module and in some position the high beams turned off .

If anyone has had the same problem I would be very grateful if you could help me !

When you are having this problem, is the High Beam icon lit on the Instrument Cluster?

 

Yes , the icon for high beam lights on when start the low beam .

 

My guess is that there is a problem with the Combination Switch.

Try this, press the switch to make a left turn, then slightly press the switch downward. Do the high beams flicker or turn off?

 

The combination switch is brand new. I forgot to mention it. Now i will do your test

 

Did you replace the switch because of this problem?

Where did you buy it from and what was the part # ?
