ML 430 battery/storage question
Cheers all. I just bought a 2001 ML 430 with only 80,000 mi., really excited. I am going to have to store the car for the next 6 months in a climate controlled space with NO battery tender. I am planning to disconnect the neg. battery terminal,.
Is there anything special I need to do after the 6 month storage period after I hook up the battery again?
Thanks in advance.

Just as a matter of note, I was told the same type thing on my 2005 ML350 for a battery change:
-Roll each window down then up and open and close the sun roof holding the button for a second or two at the stop to reset the auto up/down feature.
-Turn steering to left stop then right stop (to reset ESP, maybe).
-Re-enter the radio code.
I did it without whether it was really necessary, but re-entering the radio code was definitely necessary.

If its going to be cold where you are storing it, I would charge the battery before putting it back in. I always charge my batteries mid-way through winter and they are in a 42 degree garage, and all cars get driven. You don't want an AGM battery deeply discharged, its reversible but annoying.
