2000 ML430
alarm beeping

i have 1 2000 ml430 and every once in a while when i press the lock button the alarm goes off, is there i reason for this. A friend of mine said it might be the battery is low in the key.

i've been experiencing the same issue and from my observation, if i wait couple seconds after i exist the car before activating the alarm it doesn't do it anymore. I'm thinking that it might be some electrical stuff that kicks in once your turn the ignition off that triggers the alarm. I'm curious to find the 'real' reason as well...

I hate to tell you but it is probably your AAM control unit going out. Autogunner.

ah crap that's been happening to me too

Noscyr I actually do that too and it does seem to work.

Thanks for the heads up! How do you get the dealer to acknowledge/replace some like that if you can't reproduce it on the front of them?

Update: Brought the car to dealer and they reproduced it and changed the Towing Sensors. It's has been a week since and so far so good.
