Did MB chnage the speedo between '99 and '00 ?

The speedo on our '00 ML430 goes to 140MPH, not 120MPH as shown here.
Just wondering as it's purely academic, don't think our ML has ever been faster than an indicated 85MPH.

Only 29 on a 2000? You got a good one! Anyhoo the new ones are a lot better.... It did take them quite a while to fix all the problems.

OK - so my signature is out of date ;-)

on this forum at least - now at 68,000 miles and well into the 30's (defects).
Hey my ML has even managed to create a couple of novel ones.

Heard about the front power seat which will only move forward ? Or how about the self destructing rear seat ? The leather comes unclipped from beneath and rolls itself up.

A real interesting 'quality' vehicle ;-))

But we've learnt to live with it and not travel too far from home....

keep the oil changed and stay on top of items you should regularly check....like tire pressures/antifreeze/battery/etc.. Also look underneath for leaks after parking overnight..

My bose c/d changer has been acting up lately, and if it goes out completely I'll probably run an IPOD thru the FM band. Thats most likely the least costly fix and gives you portability and unlimited tunes !!

First, congratulations on reaching a milestone. I hope that we will reach that someday, too.

I would'nt recommend these FM transmitters. These do not do a Bose system justice. Make sure to test and be ready to return. Better to just use a cassette adapter. Just my $0.02.

ML430
My 01 ML430 just hit 275k today and the ONLY
problem I've had was the sky view top being noisy it
was fixed under warranty at 95k. The only other issue
I'm dealing with now is a useless navigation system because
Mercedes Benz does'nt support CD navi anymore "they upgraded
to dvd Navs" So im stuck with useless outdated maps ... Just purchased
a 2009 ML550 and the 430 will always be my Favorite car since it was my
1st Mercedes but this one is HEAVEN.
