Question

The gas meter shows the gas tank is empty while the car is full of gas, check engine light went on, sunroof stopped working, any suggestions on what is covered under starmark warranty? Also, i need to get new brake pads, any suggestions, does the dealer have to do it?
In the market for a new SUV, any ideas ( toyota, BMW, FX, Murano, Land rover, even ML???)

Thanks

I would have to run down to the ML to check out the starmark book (do you have one? If not, let me know and I will check it out).

I can tell you the pads ARE NOT covered (wear and tear item). The sunroof though might be. You would have to take it to the dealer and all they do is punch the part numbers needed to fix you problem and the computer tells them almost instantly if the items are/are not covered under starmark. I ran into this recently a thte dealer when my MCS/NAV unit needed replacement 5 weeks out of standard warranty and starmark had just kicked in. FYI....MCS is not covered, but if you can believe this....they goodwill'ed it!

A 2003 or later ML is much less likely to suffer the problems of the earlier models. If you really want another SUV I would take that route. From what you describe everything sounds like its covered, but the brakes.

Thank you for the reply, I am heading to the dealership on friday, to checkout some MLs in stock, I was told there is a preowned 03 ML350 and ML500, beside new ones, I did drive an ML500, but never drove the ML350, is there much difference in power than the ML320? Any price range I should aim for?
About the brakes, can someone other than the dealership take care of it?

Thanks

Oh yeah. Since you already drove the 500, its ruined you. Now you have to buy it, cause a v-6 just won't do.
