Anyone have clearcoat peeling on their ML?

Anyone have clearcoat peeling on their ML?
Hi all,
I just noticed yesterday, my wife's 02 ML320 is peeling at the rear window area. The clear coat has peeling several inches on both sides of the verticle rear window pieces. The pieces feel like plastic and the SUV is black. I can flake it off with my finger while rubbing the coating. Anyone else have this issue? You know, you spend $45K on a MB to ensure you are buying a quality auto and this happens. On another note, my 02 E320 developed rust on the trunk around the license plate. Both vehicles were purchased new and the longer I have them... the more issues are coming up... what gives? Combined with the poor service of my local dealership, I am seriously consider dumping both vehicles.

take it to the dealer, they will replace these black panels. Sorry to hear about all your issues, the rust could be due to paint chipping from the plate slapping the trunk. Just a thought.
