1998 CLK 320
Front wipers work sometimes. Rear always works.
Sometimes yanking on a wiper will make them work. Sometimes not.

Is there a DIY on how to get to (and test) the motor?

it is not that simple====get a good chassis scan to solve the problem

I took the wiper motor out, cleaned and bent the tabs inside the wiper motor and now they're working fine.
