ML 400 Shifting Problem

Greetings from Portugal. My 2003 ML400CDI is sort of in safe mode. While accelerating, it shifts at 1600RPM so the engine does not reach the desired power. Did the Gearbox reset, worked fine for the first 400m and then back to sleep mode. Mannual shifting is working fine. The diagnostic computer shows nothing. While in neutral and accelerating, the turbo rods are not moving. It was serviced not more than 500KM ago and replaced all fluids. A friend suggested to check the transmission fluid level. Any ideas? Regards Pedro
