2002 ML320 CAM SHAFT SENSOR
Hi all,
please allow me to apologize, I do my due diligence and have not found the answer yet. : I bought a $500 (canadian, that is) ML320 and have been driving it for 14 months. I have never worked on cars before but this forum/youtube has given me the confidence to replace the waterpump, pulley, battery etc.
I do run into the problem: my car won't start all the time. Sometimes its the second try, sometimes directly, sometimes the 4th try. I hear it cranking but that is it. The OBD said P0341 code: CAMSHAFT.
Decided to dig deeper and more people experienced the same issues. Found a guy on youtube who had the same issue, replaced it and the car ran again.
Problem is; His cam sensor looks different that the Bosch one I ordered (mine is plastic along the sensor, with his I can see metal). Is there anyone who could guide me toward the right Camshaft sensor?

Problem is: I cant take the old one out yet since that ETorx bolt is completly stripped If anyone has a solution for that, that would be great.All the best

Both the Bosch and Mercedes sensor (which is made by Bosch) are solid plastic. You have the correct part number.
As far as the stripped bolt, for a male head try a Vise Grip needle nose pliers to get it started turning.
