Breather Cover Screws Part# confirmation
1998 ML320: Replacing the gaskets in my Valve Covers and resealing the Breather covers. I was going to replace the Breather Cover torque screws which I was told is part #000000004436. I went to order them online but got some confusion. Most sites state prior part # is the one I need. Another one that I was going to order from stated that screw / part# is not compatible w/ my make and model. Can I get any confirmation if part #000000004436 is the correct part# for replacement Breather Cover screws for the 1998 ML320?

As I am looking, I am seeing that the part # 000912-005010 has now been replaced with N000000004436. That helps.

This is interesting. FCPeuro lists the replacement # for 000912-005010 as MER-N000000004436. eEuroparts has no idea what 000912-005010 is. I few other sites state the similar. I guess I will find out when the part arrives.
On that note, can I get all the torque specs for replacing both of the head gaskets and the breather covers?

Remove and replace the vent covers first and remember that you need special sealant.
Also make sure you clear out the tiny vent holes.
