help identify in front of vehicle by left foglight

Please, help identify part in front of the vehicle and where it should be connected to.

After connecting the AC Manifold gauges, I was trying to remove the high pressure hose from the shrader valve by the radiator and was not able to. Therefore, I had to remove the left headlight to get enough room to pull the shrader valve connector.

I noticed the piece below just dangling. I do not know what it is or where it gets connected to. Its wires are in the same wireloom as the left foglight, and there is not enough slack so it goes somewhere near the foglight but not sure what it is or where. Any help please. I pulled it up and rested it on the bumper for better visibility.

Thanks.

What of your two vehicles are you referring to? If it's the 2013, you are on the wrong forum.

Maj Dundee - This image is from the ML320. it is the one I've had AC issues and you've been helping me.

Chassis - thanks. Now I need to figure out where to stick it. It has somehow fallen off of somewhere. Will try to find some diagrams now I know what it is.

Cheers,
Maneesh
