The high pressure AC pipe (thinner one in picture) is icy cold to touch where it travels through the bulkhead.
So obviously I thought it was the blend motor.
I removed the glove box and when turning the heat from hot to cold the blend motor appears to be acting normally, a good swing on the black arm etc.
So i removed the airbag and the metal rod on the actuator just to check. I manually closed the flap using my fingers at the bulkhead and also the other one attached to the blend motor. Using my fingers I can get a good clunk as the flap closes and opens. I can get nice hot heat coming through the vents but no cold air no matter what combination of opening and closing the two flaps. So it appears the blend motor is working fine and the problem is elsewhere.
What else could it be?
I had the system gassed recently so it is full of refrigerant. And it appears the compressor is working fine as the high pressure line (thin one) is icy cold where it travels through the bulkhead.
Any opinions or thoughts? Whats left where the problem could be, the expansion valve ?
