Replace Ignition Switch/Ignition Switch Housing

I did a search on the forums for a WIS or other type step-by-step but didn't find any.
Is there a resource available?

On You Tube I find many posts on how to change the ignition CYLINDER, but none for the actual SWITCH - which is mounted on the steering column. Have already done the new cylinder and key from MB Classics - but am not getting enough contact to "Start". There is a long delay - then it will finally 'connect' and spin the starter - but this week - it gave up complete. I know the circuit works as I jumped the relay and I get good voltage.
After removing the fascia etc it looks to be easy enough while holding the new replacement - but am concerned to 'do it right' so none of the plastic tabs etc are damaged. Plus the space in there is confined to say the least. Is it necessary to lower the column for example? Looking for the 'how-to'.
Today I paged thru WIS on-line and an index, and could not find any AR's, or even SI's.
Still looking for "R&I Ignition/Start Switch" or some past-experience narratives.
Thanks much.
