Hey everyone!
im currently switching out the 12v cigarette lighter for a USB charger. I don’t currently smoke, but would like to charge some devices.
I have the assembly out, the USB charger installed, and am ready to wire it in.
My question is: how to I wire this to the existing wires?
I see a faint red/pink wire, a white wire, and a green&black wire on the factory connector. My USB has a red + wire and a black - wire. Do I just match these up and leave the other? Thank you so much!

I did the same project, the green/black is the +12v for the cigarette lighter and brown is negative ground. Ignore the purple/white wire which is the positive lead for the ash tray light. I cut the wires at the black connector end and crimped on disconnect terminals which then directly attached to the new USB socket. If you go that route you won't need the extra red and black wires.
