FYI: Factory Engine Mount Incorrect Orientation
Just an FYI to anyone that will face this in the future, the factory mercedes w163 engine mounts are now being supplied with "FRONT" written on the WRONG side of the mount. Do not follow the factory mounts setting any longer or you are installing them backwards. Small side towards the front is the correct orientation, forget the markings on the factory mercedes mounts as they are now useless.
Install small side to the front and big side to the rear. The aftermarket Meyle units I pulled out were correct and I trusted yhe oem Mercedes mounts to have the orientation correct from the factory. Should of known better with mercedes but didn't do my research as I was short on time and they had to go in right there and then. I asked myself am I trusting Meyle or Mercedes....I chose wrong.
If I had to guess, I bet we could find out who makes mercedes mounts by finding out which aftermarket companies made the same stupid mistake lmao. I honestly expected more from benz...
