ML 320 Service Light Reset
Hi:
I'm new, and see that someone on eBay is selling the service light reset code/sequence on line. I have a feeling this information may be available for free in one of these forums. Can anyone help? I don't have any service lights on now, but would like to be able to clear them if need be in the future. I don't need it staying on to remind me to get an oil change.
Also, though unrelated...my 320 doesn't have an installed GPS...I am thinking it requires the software and the unit (which is the in-dash single disc player- I only have the changer). Any input on where to get a good deal, as well as ease of install? Thanks!
Regards-

Read your owners manual, the service indicator reset procedure is in there.
The Nav system is available in 2 forms, CD rom or DVD rom. Depending on the year of your ML it may be a simple install, or require some additional parts along with the CD drive. It will have to be programmed by a dealer so that the voice of the nice lady giving the directions can be heard. I recommend the DVD system, 1 disc for the whole country instead of a pile of cd's that cover only certain parts.
You are always well served to buy these things at the dealer so it will come with a warranty.

Huh? The cd or dvd drive for the nav goes behind the screen of your radio. The cd changer goes in the trunk. You can have both. You can also use the nav drive to play cd's, but not if you are trying to navigate somewhere.
You can have one without the other.. It doesn't matter. They work independently of each other.
