ML 320 Service Wrench; Antifreeze...

Forgive the long discussion:
2002 ML 320. Currently 29404 miles. Single service wrench shows 2900 when I double-push it on the guage console (down from 3100 a few days ago- yes drove about 200 miles). So do I assume my next service is about 2900 miles away? Is that the 30k service, or was the 30k service just done (I have NO records of prior service)...does the wrench stay on if service was NOT done? Also, I lose about 1/4 cup or less of antifreeze from the overflow near the driver's front tire...level looks full when I check it, no lights come on and the car runs fine (engine temp stays about 80-85 degrees according to instrument guage). Dealer will look at it next service...OK to wait? (I will check level every few days to make sure not losing more). Is this common?

Yes, you are due for the next service in 2900 miles, This could change if you take a long trip with highwaY DRIVING IT COULD GO HIGHER OR, WITH SHORT TRIPS IT COULD GO LOWER. There is no 30000 mile service per se, go by the FSS indicator. One wrench indicates an A service (minor) and 2 wrenches indicate a B service (major). Re the anti freeze, seems as if it may be overfilled and pushing some out. Drive it and keep an eye on the level but do not add any till it gets below the cold level line when cold. READ YOUR MANUAL its got lots of info that will give you lots if info about the ML

Check the lower radiator hose clamps. Very few ML's don't leak there. Tightening the clamps will fix it.
