Help! Running P2017-02 code

Could really use some expert opinions. 2001 Ml430. When going slow speeds in a parking lot, creeping down my driveway etc. My car seems to brake on its own and start making weird noises and feels like something is dragging underneath. BAS ESP light is on and amber triangle warning light flashes when this happens. Engine warning light was on and it said bad MAF sensor. Replaced that, engine light went off. Then same problem when I drive it slow, but not every time. BAS ESP light still on. No other dash lights. Ran an odb sensor and I get critical issue warning P2017-02 Swirl damper defective. Are these sounding like 2 separate issues? Could it be a brake problem? BAS ESP activated after being on a rocky dirt road. Both seem to be big problems but I live rurally and need to drive my car. Not sure which area to look into first. Ant thoughts?

I had the self adaptation error of left and right bank mixture. I found a cracked breather hose which was throwing off the EGR valve. Complete recirculating gas hose kits are available inexpensively on Amazon, I only replaced the two hoses that were bad but I would do them all if I had to do it again. So check all the vacuum hoses around the air pump and the EGR system replacing the ones you need, good luck!
