Great Prices on Early ML Literature !
Seems like the more miles that accumulate on my ML, the more I want to take care of maintenance myself. Unfortunately, neither Clymers or Hayes have manuals specifically for the ML. While doing some searching on E-Bay I ran across a website that listed some actual Mercedes publications but they were expensive. However the website did provide the reference numbers for these two manuals; T-2678-097 and T-2702-098.
With these two numbers inhand I called 1-800-FOR MERCedes and inquired if they had these two in stock. Yes, they did.... and prices were $17.00/$4.00 respectively.
Just received these today and they are fantastic ! These are not how-to books, they are merely information on the incredibly complex workings of a ML. The T-2678-097 is the first issue of a manual designed to provide a general overview of the ML320 (model 163.154); 170 fact-filled pages. The T-2702-098 describes innovations/changes for the 1999 ML430 (model 163-172);64 pages.
I would highly recommend the first book for early ML320 owners and both books for ML430 owners. Total for both delivered from Mercedes was $27.26 including taxes/shipping/handling...Took about five days for delivery.........

There is a third book for model year 2002 update... Don't know of the number or anything, I think I have one in my toolbox at work. Good prices though, MB literature is typically exhorbitant. I have a 2001 technical data manual and my employee cost was $80!!!
