If you are starting from cold this is normal and I know of no other vehicle that would produce warm air faster. From a hot start its maybe not normal but not bad either. Mine produces hot air almost immediatly from a hot start

Is there anyway to narrow it down? I know it is not easy to reproduce this between 2 vehicles.. But there should be some way to measure the speed of Heating up the vehicle..by the experts or Service Techs

I really do not know what you want to narrow down. Please rephrase your question and be specific

No there is no way to narrow it down. Either it eventually warms up or it doesn't. ONLY if it never really warms up is there a problem. It takes a while to warm up a cold engine and get some heat. Its all temperature related, with ambient temp and engine temp the big players. 2 minutes sounds damn fast to me... whats the problem? I let mine warm up in the driveway, for a few minutes, and it still takes 3 miles before I get any real heat.

It all comes down to your location, and make sure your coolant is still full. In my case, northern British Columbia, it is -17C (0 F) and my Ml320 took about 4 minutes to get the temp guage to move. The car was in my shop all night at 5C, but still warms up fairly fast. Not sure on the ML, but all other cars can use a summer thermostat, which opens faster (lower temp), and never gets warm fast. If you live in a cooler climate, this could be the reason and not a big thing to change. Maybe check it out with a dealer.
