'03 ML55--Bi-xenon lights

I've noticed that when the headlights(xenon)first come on, say you're in the garage and they're shining on the wall, they have a very blue color to them, but after about 30 seconds or so they seem to slowly change color to a more halogen like white/yellow...why is this??thanks

2001 ML 320, M6 Package
I have a 2001 ML320 with M6 Sport Package. I have Bi-Xenon headlights as well, and I noticed the color changed that AKbro93704 mentioned above. However, I never feel satisfied with the amount of light that i supposed to have from bi xenon when driving, specially on freeway at night. Most of the times i also need to switch on the aux light for better driving. Does it suppose to give you an intensive white and bright that you see on X5 or Lexus. How does the Bi-xenon performance compare to HID? Can i adjust the low beam to aim lower? Please advise. Thanks.

You know I had bi-xenons on my escalade and I thought it was actually worse at night than my 1991 stock BMW headlights, which i find very bright. The bi xenons seem like very white, low-density light. The standard headlights on my bimmer are yellowish hi-density lights whilch illuminate evrything in sight.

I like those so much better. It's like flourescent lights vs incandescent lights for your home. The flourescent lights seem too white and clinical. Same with xenons, too white/clinical.

It's just a fad, you know, like whale-tail spoilers and bell-bottemed pants!

HID headlights are xenon, just a different name...I agree with the insufficient amount of light too,the light cuts off too close to the car. They are supposed to level automatically to focus down on to the road instead of at other drivers, i'm not sure if you can adjust it yourself though
