2004 ML350 78k miles ticking?
Hello guys, i just recently bought a one owner 2004 ml350 4matic with 77,950 miles from a elderly couple that garage kept it. it drives and shifts beautifully but at idle when the car is warm, it would start to tick inside the car, on the outside it sounds smooth and healthy. Recently the elderly guy did a oil change at 77,900 miles and I drove it 500+ miles and it seems like its getting quieter with the more i drive. Sometimes the ticking would be there and sometimes it wont when its hot like if i drive to the store/places and restart the car. For example, when i am at the store after driving(cars warm) and i restart the car after being in the store, it would be fine for 30 seconds then a slight ticking would start and get pronounced. Or when i stop at a red light or similar, sometimes its not even there. What do you guys think of this? Otherwise the car is beautiful and drives and shifts better than the 2015 ml350 I have.
