I have a ML55 and is there anyway to disable to stupid warnings on the navigation unit when it powers on?

Nope. You can thank the lawyers and our sue-happy litigous society for that one.

Don't know about MB, but on BMWs you can have the unit set to European (British) setting to disable it. Only thing is you get readings in yards instead of feet.

I'm pretty sure he wrote "yards instead of feet" which is also a similar difference on the US COMAND vs. European COMAND, the European COMAND being intended for use in the UK as well (where MILES are also used).

I hate it when they do this stuff. Give something good then screw it up with something annoying.
