I heard early 2006, basically a year from now. If so, that's what I'm getting. At they will probably offer both the 280 cdi, and the 320 cdi.

According to C&D this month, MB will be brining two diesel engines into the w164 lineup:

Both are V6's

The smaller one is a 2.8L making 188HP and 325TQ

The larger one is a 3.2L making 221TQ AND 376TQ!!!!

That's not exactly right--both are 3 liters (2,987cc) capacity. The difference must be in the turbo and software, and maybe intake/exhaust.

According to the new Autoweek, "To keep things fresh, a 224-hp 320 CDI diesel and the wicked 6.3-liter 500-hp V8-powered ML63 AMG will come about this time next year."
