From a very reliable source: the new ML-AMG will be a ML63. And in a couple of years, there will be no more ML500, it will be replaced by ML550. Thats all I can say for now...

 

how about ml350? and would 5.5 engine be the same as amg 5.5?

 

This has long been reported in numerous sources. There will also be a 4.6 V8 of about 325 hp (more power and better economy than the current 5.0).

No, this will be a new 4-valve head naturally-aspirated engine (similar in design to the new 3.5) of close to 400 hp. The 6.3 will have 475 - 500 hp. Probably available 2007 model year, along with a 320 CDI.
