The codes must be read in the ETC (Trans. Control Module) with a scanner. Read the the PDF as to what might have to be done.

No codes have ever shown up for the transmission, either on DAS or my Carly....
And it's been plugged in more times than I care to remember over the last 2-3 weeks...!!
I didn't try this reset procedure yet, going out in about 45 minutes, will have a try then...

When the problem occurs, do not shut down the eng.. Doing so will erase the code.

So, carry the scanner with you and immediately read the codes in the ETC when the problem occurs.

Problem with Carly is it doesn't seem to talk to that many of the 70 ECUs in this car, maybe around half only...
Not sure if it checks the transmission as I've only ever taken any notice of the fault codes that do show...!!
However, seeing as this happens at pretty much every speed bump, it wont be that hard to check next time...
Weird really as it doesn't really happen when slowing down to a stop, for lights etc...

This is the best scanner reader and it will read the codes in every module.

Yeh, may have to invest tbh, Carly was mustard on my X%, you could get right into the car, coding and all sorts...
Merc version is really quite **** by comparison...

My bad...

I had Carly for my X5, it was very good, you could get right into the bones of the vehicle and do a bit of coding etc, along with error code checking and clearing...
For the Mercedes, Carly is rubbish basically, only talks to half or so of the ECUs and there's zero coding or anything else for that matter...!!

When you get it, make sure you find out how to scan all the modules at the same time. Save all of them.

I'm the only bloke I know who ever reads the instructions lol...
So I'll make sure I know what's what before I hook it up...

I've actually done the reset procedure this lunchtime and it actually seems a lot better...
I've only done about 5km around town tho, I'll find out for sure when I get to a speed bump if it's actually made any difference...!!
