Im Jealous!!!

A cousin of mine purchased a new ML350 and I saw it and drove it(about 10 feet but still drove it) and I can say I am impressed with the new w164 chassis. I will say even the 350 compared to that of the previous generation ML55 is equal if not superior. And while I still consider myself NOT to be an SUV person, the new ML is truely amazing

wow, you are great at rating cars - 10 feet and you know the chasis is better than the previous ML55? you or your cousin must have a really challenging driveway!

Well compared to a W163, almost any chassis is better!

It was more of seeing the car and seeing the build quality of it. I havent got to "test" it to see how it compares to an ML55 performance wise.

But a W164 ML350 compared to a first generation ML320 or 350 is light years ahead of where they started

New cars always feel better, but i dont know if you shoul compare the 164 to an amg. Maybe your 55 needs a tune up?

no no, I wasnt comparing it directly to my AMG... because after all its still missing the big engine under the hood, but seeing where the new W164 is compared to the W163s you can see it is def a better over all car. I wasnt comparing performance at all. When I do compare it to mine I can see that the products they used to assemble it, are a hundred times better then those that went in to the W163. AMG had completely different leather and wood, etc etc. I think the gap between the AMG and all the other lines in the 164 are going to be closer with the exception of that 5 second 0-60 time and other performance stats...

Cliff notes: When you compare them, the W164 shows its evelution took some major steps to get to where it is
