In "Bella Italia"......
... they are so fortunate to be able to get things that W164 buyers elsewhere have asked for in vain. Like an alternative to the Artico (fake leather)/Alcantara seats in the Appearance/Sport package:
From the beginning of October, they have been able to pay 2,300 EUR + tax and get either one of these Nappa Leather interiors:
Personally, I think the last one is tops, maybe even a bit over the top. And 2,300 EUR plus taxes is a lot of money, but I still guess it will be an often-ordered option.
It might be a "teaser" from MB's side to see how future Designo editions will be received.
MB Italia have a quite nice minisite dedicated to the W164.

That last option is NICE. If only I had a real cow's **** in my ML...the MB Tex and Alcantera is nice, but fake is fake. Plus the smell of real leather upon opening the door is something that I really miss. And all those leather cleaners and conditioners that I still have from when I had leather to take care of are going to waste. Any takers out there? Bargain basement prices on primo leather care goods! haha.

what's with the third tier of controls in the above-pictures? Personally, i think it looks photo-shopped, but not the controls part-any ideas of what they are for?
