ML350 or ML500

We are getting ready to buy a ML, and with all the options we want(premium, entertainment, lighting, suspension, etc) the difference ends up being a $6000 difference. would love to hear your opinions.

Well, first I would consider anything that is not going to be used on a weekly basis at least, or is anything that may make it look prettier, but maybe a pain to maintain. Also, how long you will keep the vehicle before it gets sold again. Many options are not worth 5% on a resale level, so be careful what you add on.
Also, if you have the option, shop around to other dealers, even out of town, as you may get extra options thrown in, just for buying through them. let them know you are shopping, see "what they can do for you, not what you can do for Mercedes" (wasn't that JFK who said that??) Anyway, play the game and see what you get. I know of many people getting more things for less, just for shopping. If a particular vehicle on the lot is missing a couple of wanted goodies, the dealer can throw it in, if it's not a complicated item, just bolt on.
Good luck!

Buy everything you want. If you do not you will kick yourself later. Do not really understand what your offer is.

I was offered INVOICE price - another $2000. So the price is $2000 under Invoice.

That sounds like a very good deal. Dealer still gets 7% holdback. Find out how much if any in advertising costs are included in the invoice.

As far as V6 vs V8, I chose the six because it is a new state of the art design vs. the carryover V8, and the power is quite adequate with the 7-speed. 0-60 is around 7 seconds which is remarkable for a V6 powered 4,600+ lb. vehicle. Also, the fuel economy is somewhat better. When the new V8s come out next year, the choice will be harder.

Yes, I believe they are charging $600 for the AD fee. Anyway I can get out of that and still get $2k under invoice. Just curious Gregg, how much did you get yours for?

Thanks
