Features of the US Comand unit??
Hi,
Does the US Comand unit allow you to use it as a DVD player (not while the vehicle is in motion, of course)??
The European one does not have this feature, and someone on one of the German forums suggested that the US version might have this feature - I doubt it, but would like to know anyhow.

Birger, no it does not. I think I remember reading here or on another forum that some people have hacked the unit to be able to do so but I am not certain and I do not know what the results were. I also believe that in the US this and TV are not legal in the front seat area.

No, the US model's do not, but some Japan model's have a TV tuner and DVD. Both can be watched if the park brake is set, if you release the brake you only get sound.
