and even even more (can't just repeat 'and more' or 'and even more' or those really smart servers think that I'm duplicating posts...and who said that people weren't smarter than computers?):

Hi, ClayJ
Nice pics - but actually the credits for the big series should be given to the popular German auto weekly AutoBild, and the GCF ones have been "borrowed" from the official MB press site.
On German forums, people are getting very sensitive about photos that are posted without quoting the source...

Thanks for the continued replies.
The Yukon Denali is an option. A bit big, but not too big.
The Gl is interesting me, especially if it comes w/ a diesel or the as a GL550??
RR Sport just doesn't do it. the daddy RR is too pimp. Afetr all, my E is enough of that.

The GL is interesting to me also, but who knows how long we'll actually have to wait for it to be available here in the USA, and how big the 2nd and 3rd row seating areas actually are? For sure they will offer a number of engine options.
The Yukon Denali would make for instant availability and satisfaction, and would make an admirable choice. Be sure to get Autoride, Stabilitrak and AWD, and side impact airbags -- all of which should be standard on the Denali (but I haven't built one in a year). Your only choices, other than colors, shoudl be captains chairs in second row, sunroof, and rear seating entertainment package. I really like the captains chairs seating in the second row, and the sunroof.
Put Michelin Cross Terrains (17"/18" wheels), or Nitto Terragrapplers (20" wheels) on it to replace the crap OEM tires it will (most likely) come with and I am sure that this vehicle would make you and her very happy...at least until the new GL or something better comes along....

I second the XC90 as well. It's an excellent deal IMO and if you don't get the 3rd row there is an enormous amount of room in the 2nd row. Not to mention the safety features for your wife and young ones.
We've had ours for almost 3 years with hardly a problem.

Report from the Detroit autoshow on the GL by two members is that it may be worth waiting for -- lots of room in second and third rows, and room behind third row.... Is in the GL forum I believe.

Nice, i wish I could verify the interior size difference. I am hoping that the above pics of the same dude getting into the ML and GL may have had the front seats in a different position. From the pic, they look about the same. I wish I could see one.
