Chirping noise from wheels 2006 ML 500
I have 3000 miles on my 2006 ML 500 purchased November 2005. I have this strange intermittent metal on metal chirping noise coming from one or more wheels at low speeds 5 to 20 mph the noise will stop when very light brake pressure is applied and and return when brake is released speed not reduced during this test. If the steering wheel is moved very slightly to the right the noise stops and really picks up in a left turn. I have been to my dealer twice and they have removed and cleaned all the wheels and can't find any thing wrong. Need help it's a 240 mile round trip has anyone had this problem. It would be nice to be able to silence parking brake warning to isolate sound to the front or rear wheels but no help from Mercedes on that subject.

Had the same thing on mine intermittently. Its like a bird chirp and is more easily heard when driving along a wall or barrier on the left side. Dealer cleaned and lubed the rear brakes and its gone. They believe it was something to do with the emer brake as when applying the emer brake and releasing it went away. No problems since the fix.
