Headlights

I changed my headlights to Philips Diamond Vision. The first picture is the factory lights and the second is the one with DV. I would like to match the parking / city lights to a white color just doing some search on what W5W to get. As you can tell there is a big difference in the color. I'll be changing my fog lights with Advanceoptic Ion lights to add some contrast to the headlights. More people are matching all the lights to one color I just want to try something different. The ion lights will be good for now in this winter weather. Ill take more pix when I get a chance if anyone is interested.

I'd like to know more details about both the regular lights and the fog light options. Contrast can be good. How so? What do they look like? Are they colored, etc? PICS PICS PICS!!

Given that higher temperature halogens have a blue coating on the bulb, if the wattage remains at 55 the actual light on the road will be less. In addition, the human eye is less sensitive to these higher temperatures (if it weren't, the manufacturers would be using them), so the actual ability to see in the dark is reduced. If you like the looks enough to put up with these compromises, fine--just don't expect higher performance.
The fog light bulbs he's speaking of are very warm (yellow) in color. PIAA calls theirs Ion Crystal. They can look neat in some cases; the yellow color is supposed to reflect less in fog.

Nah, i do not want a drop in visibility. I changed out the bulbs on my Jeep, but i did get new ones with higher wattage. So, what color bulbs do i want for good visibility? Hmmmm, i would have to see a Benz to see if I want to try the yellow fogs on the ML or the E.

Hard to see the color in those. Here are some of the ones I had in my Hlella FF200s on my '98.
