Airmatic
Have airmatic with 19" wheels. Whilst the airmatic certainly works (car can be raised/whooshing noises etc.) on less than billiard table smooth roads I still feel bumps/ridges on road (comfort/auto and sport settings).
Should airmatic smooth out these bumps/ridges or is the airmatic being compromised (to some extent) by low(er) profile tyres? Or is (my) airmatic not functioning properely?
Overall new ML is much quieter and smoother than old ML so I may be expecting too much?
Feed back would be appreciated.
Cheers,
because it was a last minute gift, but I imagined Airmatic made the ride really floaty...so you do not feel the bumps on the road...or at least not that much...is that true? I mean, is there a noticeable difference between driving a car with Airmatic and one without? If you say yes I will just shoot myself
...no really, I truly want to know.

I would have gotten Airmatic if I new about it, but I didn't at the time. I really do not care much about the fact of raising the car...I only drive in streets & highways but I would love to feel the road a bit less...I mean, the ride is not that bad...is like any other car I think, however I hear that with Airmatic in the Comfort option you don't feel the road or at least not that much...but what can I do...I guess I'm gona have to live with it. Anyone has the car without Airmatic? Are you still happy with an ML without Airmatic?

To the original poster, I think you may have your expectations to high. Keep in mind those 19 inch tires have a very stiff sidewall and they are summer tires which do not ride well.
