ML navigation...

Can anyone tell me about the quality of the navigation? I drove the ML350 again today but still have not been able to see the navigation. The salesman told me they do not have discs in the cars because people steal them?????

Anyway, feedback would be great. Does it compare at all to the RX350?

Don't have discs in the cars?! Well, they can certainly get one out of the office for a test drive. That's lame! I would insist on it before you decide. I have not expereinced the Japanese systems personally, but form everything posted the Germans are a step or two behind--no voice commands, touch screen, etc. It is still a functional system, just not state-of-the-art. At least it's DVD and you do get an extra in-dash CD slot with it.

I have been using the BMW Nav for several years and MB ML-500 NAV since December 05. The MB NAV is slightly ahead of BMW but way behind Lexus or Infinity. The Japanese systems not only are more User’s Friendly but provide you with features such as Bird’s Eye View which is inexistent with MB’s. If the NAV System is very important for you, you may want to consider getting a portable after market one.
