opinion on wheels please.....

I like the wheels a lot because they look close to the stock 19" wheels. So the truck doesn't look blinged out. The width looks a lot wider than the stock 19's which is good. Just make sure you get the right offsets and the right profile tire. These tires are too thin.

Not much tire there - seems like the ride would be horrendous and the wheels could easily be damaged. Unless you go with a MB tuner, it's difficult to find wheels to fit the ML. I had this problem with my current and past MLs. Good luck on your search.

Do slim/thin tires provide you with a better ride...I though thick tires were better for that? My car has the stock tires...I was thinking in changing them for the MB 19'' that come on the Appearance Package...would that affect the cushy ride or would they be just like the 17'' ones? Are there any kind of tires that can isolate you more from the ground and work with the ML? Sorry for the stupid questions but I really don't know.

Anything lower than 40 series tires on the ML will suffer with a rougher ride but better handling. Also, think about potholes. I have a friend that damaged his 22" wheels w/ 30 series tires on a pothole. He also damaged a part of his suspension. Guess what, the manufacturer didn't cover the warranty. I see this all the time: a SUV with jumbo wheels and rubber band tires that has to stop whenever he sees a bump, pothole, uneven driveway, metal plates, etc. so he won't damage his bling bling wheels. Looking good to some is better that feeling good. Just defeats the purpose of having a SUV. Just my opinion.
