Suede Seats?

Someone is trying to sell their ML500 and listed it with Suede Seats. I don't remember seeing this in the options list. I thought they all came with leather standard? I like the leather but does anyone have the Suede seats? Pics?

Thanks,
Nick

PS Can ya tell my wife has me hunting for this damn vehicle now? Ever since she test drove it, that all I hear..."when are we getting my SUV? Have you found one yet?" Huh, huh?

What you call suede is actually Alcantra. Real full leather comes with the premium package and is very nice. The Alcantra to me looks like the mouse fur seats that were in lots of 70's and 80's US vehicles and I do not care for it.

i have the Alcantra and they are cooler and warmer (depending on the season) are totally stain resistant and no sliding around like leather. They look great also, I have had many compliments.

I don't slide on my leather and I have no complaints about cold and warm. The Alcantra stuff looks to me like the GM crap they used in the 70's. Its also quite hard to clean and never looks good after cleaning. Its also a matter of personal choice.

I also have the Alcantra in black. Although it doesn't look or feel like real suede it does clean very nicely. I wouldn't knock it, and praise the premium leather. The so called premium leather is very cheap compared to other car companies leather.

Black does not show the dirt as do the other colors. As for the leather, Its certainly not cheaper leather than other manufacturers in the same price range use. I know in fact that its one of the more expensive grades of leather. Its comfortable and durable and attractive. Sure beats sitting on chemicals.
