ML350 vs ML500?

Has anyone test driven the ML350 and ML500 back to back?

I'm curious what observations you may have had....ride comfort, power, etc...

I stopped by the local dealer yesterday and they have plenty of ML350s, but only one ML500. What's the deal? Hard to sell the V8 becuase of the price of gas?

Thanks,
Mike

I have driven both (currently own a ML500) and obviously the big difference is the power. The other differences ( exhaust tips, wheels, badging) are all cosmetic so that is a personal preference. So basically, If you want some more power (which is noticeable) then go with the 500. If not, go with the 350 as they are very similiar outside of the power factor.

FWI: At my dealership there are no 500's available (had to order mine) due to the demand....not because of the gas prices. My wife averages 18-20 mpg with the 500

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. 18-20mpg is not bad...better then I would have guesed. Must be a lot of highway miles. I'm going to wait for the 2007s and hope that they come with built-in BlueTooth and Aux Port for the MP3 player...

Definitely, better TQ pull on the ML500...I've driven both models from LA to Vegas & back. I'm curious to see the a dyno graph on both.
