I tried using my nano ipod and plugged it in the AUX outlet. Man its sound so bad. Has anyone tied this with the same experience?

Do you have the HK system?? If so be certain that the sound is set to Logic 7. That will help. Mine actually works great.

ML 350-Black=Sold. New 08 C300 4Matic, Black/Black, P1, Ipod, Auto7speed, 10/10 hit 100,000 miles
Make sure your Ipod is set to large speakers and not ear or tiny speakers, made a world of difference in the sound.

There is a vast improvement in sound quality if you connect to the Aux input not from the earphone output of your iPod but from the bottom output, the one you also use to charge it. You need a special cable for that.

That looks interesting, but where do you plug in the two plugs since there is only one outlet. I just got an 30GB Ipod Video, and was wondering about this.

Oh yea, to the guy above, which wire are you currently using?

I am not sure I understand your question. It's simply a matter of attaching one end of the cable to your Nano dock connector and the other end to the AUX socket in the glovebox. If you are referring to the adapter which comes with the special cable, just forget it for this application.
