Unhappy 2006 ML Cargo Cover Optional

I just finally traded in my 1998 ML 320 with 177.5K miles and got a new 2006 ML 350...only to find that some packages now do not include the cargo cover. While on a 5 day trip around California in the lst few days, I checked dealers for purchasing one and found the quoted costs as: $262, $282, $292, $307, and $ 327, while on the MBUSA site the option is listed for $225. None of these were in stock and all had to be ordered. My local dealer was the $292.

Anyone know of a place I can get a gray one without feeling ripped off?

My 98 320 came with one as well, but apparently on the 2006 ML 350 it depends on the packages the car has and the one I bought did not have one. I didn't even realize until we left on a trip and I was packing the back...

I have had 2 ML's before my 2006. I too was suprised that it did not have one. When I travel and in weak moments will call a dealer ready to buy one. None have had one in stock....so I still have none. I would also like to know about gray versions.

Check multiple dealers...my quotes ranged from 258, 262, 282, 292, 307 and 327...just today, I went with the $262 that was 18 miles from home (but near my work) since the dealer 2 miles away was $292, neither in stock...

It's part of the Cargo Management System that is in the Comfort Package, I believe.
